The Role of Emerging Technologies in Countering Military and Security Threats of Climate Change

Abstract
Background: Due to its specific geopolitical location, the Islamic Republic of Iran is facing an increasing concentration of interconnected modern threats that require a fundamental redefinition of traditional security doctrines. This research is conducted in the context of the fact that increasing urban development (especially in metropolises), the intensity of natural hazards caused by climate change and geological subsidence, and the increasing dependence on risky technological infrastructure are emerging threats that severely challenge security survival at the national and micro levels. This, which can be seen as an objective crystallization of the gradual erosion of security structures in the face of multifaceted threats, turns ignoring preventive solutions into a direct factor in reducing national security. location in the volatile Middle East, climate change can directly impact national stability, military missions, and border security. Adverse weather conditions can damage training programs, supply chains, and critical equipment. Drought, fire, and high temperatures can affect many training activities, and the supply chain may be affected. Climate change has broad military and security implications. Most climate models that simulate future climate conditions point to a more critical scenario. So far, human activities have caused about 1°C of global warming above pre-industrial levels, and if current emissions rates continue, global temperatures are likely to rise by 1.5°C by 2030–2050. This article reviews the main climate change mitigation strategies, e.g., conventional mitigation, capture technologies, Negative and radioactive vibration engineering. Conventional mitigation technologies focus on reducing fossil-based CO2 emissions. Negative capture technologies seek to capture and store atmospheric carbon to reduce carbon dioxide levels. Finally, radioactive vibration engineering techniques make changes to the Earth's radiative energy budget in order to stabilize or reduce global temperatures. It is clear that conventional mitigation measures alone are not sufficient to achieve the goals set by the Paris Agreement; therefore, the use of alternative pathways seems essential.
Keywords: climate change mitigation, negative carbon emission technologies, climate and security threats, climate change.
